Christmas at Callingwood 2026

Sunday, December 6, 2026 · 11 AM–3 PM · Free

Callingwood Professional Centre, 6650 177 Street NW (in The MarketPlace at Callingwood, 178 Street & 69 Avenue). Free parking.

One Sunday a year the centre turns into the North Pole's west Edmonton office. Free photos with Santa, a horse-drawn hayride around the shopping centre, maple taffy pulled on snow, carolers, crafts and hot chocolat

Admission:
We will be collecting donations for Santas Anonymous and ask attendees to bring a toy or cash donation.

Free Santa photos

Avonlea Photography is back with Santa and the big green chair, 11 AM–3 PM. One or two photos per family and one free printed 5x7 photo card to take home; extra prints are available to buy on the spot.

How the line works: first come, first served. Enter through the breezeway door; the Elf Academy, hosted by Wolfe Automotive Group keeps the kids busy while you wait.

Horse-drawn hayride

Lone Star Ranch brings the horse and the wagon; we bring the blankets. Rides loop the centre all afternoon from the lobby doors, about every 10 minutes, 25 riders at a time, first come. Dress for outside. The ranch doesn't run below −25°C; if the weather forces a change we'll post here and on Facebook by 9 AM Sunday.

Elf Academy and North Pole Approved

New this year. On the way in to see Santa, kids find their official elf name , make their Elf Name Ornament for the tree at home . On the way out they get their North Pole Approved sticker, an official elf certificate, and a “take your own” photo area.

Carolers, characters, taffy and cocoa

The SugarPlums sing four sets through the afternoon, and the Holiday Grouch and Cindy Lou roam the centre (entertainment by A Charmed Affair). The Canadian Maple Shack pulls maple taffy on snow, the warming station pours hot chocolate and coffee, and there's a candy cane on the way out. All free, while supplies last.

Bring a toy for Santas Anonymous

Entry is free. If you can, bring one new, unwrapped toy, or a cash donation, for the Santas Anonymous box at the Santa entry; everything collected goes to Santas Anonymous in full the following week. [Gifts for ages 10–12 are the ones they run short of. ]
