FULL AND PART TIME VENDORS
Full-time vendors apply for all Sunday and/or all Wednesdays of the market season. By committing to all these dates, they are assigned the same stall. Part-time vendors can choose which days they want to be in the market and are not guaranteed to receive the same placement each week and not guaranteed to be accepted for all their requested dates.
Before starting at the market, vendors must:
Carry liability insurance. We suggest Western Financial Group or Duuo Insurance.
Have Alberta food safety certification (if selling food)
Have a valid liquor license and Proserve certification for staff (if selling alcohol)
Concession / food truck vendors must meet requirements to operate a mobile food vending unit
Non-profit vendors are registered organizations that want to spread awareness about their cause at our market. They must have a valid registration number and are not permitted to sell anything. These vendors do not have to pay to take part and can apply to be at a maximum of three Sunday markets and three Wednesday markets.
WHAT’S INVOLVED WITH BEING A BUSKER?
Buskers perform at the market and are compensated by way of financial contributions by customers. The most common type of busker at our market is a musician who leaves a container out for tips. Buskers are rotated throughout the market and not in a permanent location.
